No. Big NO.
I used to allow anybody who asked so long as they credited me, but after finding out that some of these re-translators also used machine translation to translate, I figured I have to set some limits.
First of all, my “translations” are edited MTL. So to have someone re-MTL what I’ve MTL-ed is just absurd. If you’re gonna MTL anyway, why not just MTL straight from the raws? That’s how I did it, and If I could do it, then so can you.
And second… well, I am constantly going back through my old tl’s to edit them. What you retranslate today may no longer be appropriate/accurate tomorrow. It’s really best if you just refer to the raws instead, since they’re more unlikely to be changed.
[Note: This only applies to my novel translations. For Drunk in Love (Years of Intoxication manhua), you’ll have to ask Hillary, since she’s the one translating it.]
I have removed them all. This is related to my answer in #1. I cannot tell which one of those were manually translated or just edited MTL, and since I find it too much trouble to ask each one of the re-translators, I just no longer link them. I apologize to those retranslating manually for getting implicated in this, but my decision is final. You can continue to retranslate if you want, but I will no longer promote it.
Translation updates continue, but they’ll be much slower and with no set schedule.
Social media is my means of escape from real life problems. I go there not because I’m already okay enough to get back to working on this site, but simply because I need to distract myself.
